Laminated Glass

The key to lamination is the interlayer that is used. We carry Dupont SGP (Sentry Glas Plus) which we are certified to laminate, Bridgestone EVA Safe interlayer and Bridgestone Euro Filter films and fabrics. These laminates can be used for both interior and exterior products. We also produce LCD Switchable glass and miniature LED lighted glass panels.

We laminate glass to produce non-skid stair treads, railing, canopies, flooring and cracked ice table tops. Also, customers have ordered laminated glass with colored or textured film which has been used for wall hangings and counter tops.

Insulated Glass

Insulated Glass Unit (commonly referred to as IGU or IG) is a set of two or more lites of glass, spaced apart with aluminum spacers that are filled with descicant and hermetically sealed to form a single glazed unit. The desiccant is to prevent condensation and improve insulating performance. The air space between each lite is to improve the thermal performance of glass when used in architectural applications.

The primary seal is polyisobutylene (PIB), the most effective barrier to moisture vapor and water. Our secondary seal consists of polysulfide for conventionally glazed applications, or silicone for structural-glazed applications.

Insulated glazing may be framed in a sash or frame or in a curtain wall. IGUs are also commonly used for replacement windows.

AGI offers a number of glass options such as clear, tinted and Low-E. To add energy efficiency, we offer Argon Gas filled IGU's and we can produce IGUs with muntins. We provide the standard straight muntins as well as bent muntins for windows that have sunburst or are round. Muntins are available in a variety of colors. We can provide aluminm and colored spacers as well as simulated divided lite (SDL) spacers.

What sets AGI apart from its' competition is that our IGUs are meticulously fabricated and they are cleaned prior to leaving the shop so that they are ready to install when they arrive to our customers. Because we use a high grade PIB you will never have that sticky and tacky feeling on the outside of the unit after it is dry.

Architectural Aluminum

As a distributor and certified fabricator for CRL US Aluminum. We fabricate aluminum for both exterior and interior projects. Included are storefront systems, custom doors and partition walls. Types of hardware include panic devices, electronic maglocks, patch hardware, full top & bottom shoe, door rails and various lock systems and push pulls.

Glass Coating

AGI is a certified applicator of Diamon-Fusion® and Clear-Fusion™ Pro.  Diamon-Fusion® is a two-step application process which comes with a lifetime warranty and Clear-Fusion™ Pro is a one-step application process that comes with a 10 year warranty.

These protective coatings makes cleaning surfaces much easier than non-treated surfaces.  From hard water stains and calcium deposits, to environmental elements, fewer contaminants stick to surfaces treated with Diamon-Fusion® or Clear-Fusion™
Pro and are easier to remove when they do not stick.

When it comes to cleaning your glass, the less time and effort spent, the better.

Distribution

Architectural Glass Industries distributes its' products throughout Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Long Island.

We travel in multiple directions each day to ensure you receive your orders on time.

All glass products have protective buttons, are wrapped  and have corner protection to prevent damage during transportation. Our aluminum is wrapped in protective cardboard.

Additionally, you will find our driver's are just as outstanding as our products. We are very particular as to who we hire to make our deliveries. Our driver's are representatives of our company so we make sure that they have excellent customer service skills. We are proud to say that we get many compliments on our drivers by our customers.

We Promise You the Best

Working hard doesn't always mean working smart.  Our cross training program along with our multiple quality control work stations, translates into a diverse staff that inspects your glass at various stages of the fabrication process.  We do everything in our power to prevent mistakes leaving the shop.

However, should a mistake leave the shop, that remake will be right behind your order within 24-48 hours later. We have been in the field and know what it is like to have a final payment held up due to an incomplete job or to have to go back to a job multiple times, which is why it is so important to us, to do it right the first time.
